I got this for Christmas after hearing a friend speak highly of it. After playing a few games of it you can't help but be hocked. As others have said it is fairly easy to learn but is a long time mastering it.
I am now looking at the expansion packs as I can see this game being played for a long time to come.
It is fun and will keep the family amused for hours because although a game might be short you will want to play more than once!
I simply don't get it. What is the big deal about this game? Posted: 16 December 2008
I am really at a loss to figure out all of the hoopla about this game. So much so that I read the directions at least five times to see if I was "missing" something. Alas, to no avail. Maybe I am just used to playing different types of games. Games with real strategy and head to head excitement. This game is not one of them. I wanted to like this game. (It cost enough) I really did but I find it boring and anti-climatic. I suggest you find someone in your circle who has this game first so that you can try it before you buy. It's pricey and if things turn out for you and they did with me you will have an expensive box taking up space in your closet.

A great game for a spare 45 minutes, requires next to no set-up which is brilliant! It can get quite confusing when playing with multiple add-ons and it's a bit disappointing that you need to buy them to get some of the player aids (a bag to keep the tiles in etc.)
Having said that this is a really good low maintenance beginners game. I would certainly recommended it.

This arrived on Thursday and it's now Tuesday and we've played it 6 times. A brilliant game! Every time we play we get more tactical and now I'm back on Amazon looking at the expansion packs. Wonderful to have a proper game rather than something on a screen!
