Not sophisicated but effective for us! Posted: 04 November 2008
We bought this for our 2 year old son as soon as we moved him from a cot into a bed and he decided he would get up as soon as it was light! Another parent recommended the Bunny Clock and for us it works. Although our son will still wake before the alarm, he understands that if Bunny's still sleeping, he should be too!
The alarm "hand" is not particularly accurate and the whole thing feels a bit unsophisticated, but, we don't care - it has meant we get on average an extra hour sleep per night and that's worth much more than a more fancy clock!!!
Don't expect to want to showcase this clock - but you might just love it for giving you the gift of sleep!!
Good idea but flawed Posted: 04 July 2008
Our two year old can't tell the time and come summer time, was getting up around 5am, despite the blackout curtains. We decided to try this clock and it had the desired effect. We gradually got her up to 6:30 which was fantastic.
However, the device is mechanical and so if you set the alarm for 6:30 and your child is still asleep (rare I might add), then the loud "clunk" as the rabbit wakes up will almost certaing wake up the child.
Also, the alarm setting works on the 12 hour clock, so if you want to set the clock for 7:00, you won't be able to set if until about 19:15 as it's a bit sensitive.
Overall, a good idea, but would have been much better if the waking rabbit was not mechanical, and you could set the clock digitally.
Idea great - but need serious improving Posted: 16 March 2008
This is a great idea. But firstly you can't set it for a precise time so it is not sensitive enough.
It breaks really easily and we have been through 3 already, and they are not cheap. The company should realise that children play with things in their rooms and it (the product) is likely to be fiddled with and if it falls (of the bed side table) it breaks.
I wonder how long they are tested for
Not very robust and can't actually be set for a specific time.
Not great. Go for another model.
Sleep at last.... Posted: 17 June 2007
How are children supposed to know when the right time to wake up is? Our son woke up between 5 and 6 every morning bright and bushy tailed and we were tearing our hair out with early mornings because he wouldn't go back to sleep. The BUNNY CLOCK is the best money ever spent. Now, our children play quietly in their rooms until the bunny clock wakes up - then they tear into our bedroom the minute the eyes pop up. Buy this if you want sanity and sleep. We buy them for our friends who have young children for gifts - that is how highly we rate it!
