I bought Blokus because of its reviews. It does not disappoint. The game is very simple to learn and get stuck into, yet has hidden depths of strategy. Every game is different. An excellent family game, and suitable for teenagers to join in with.

Blokus
on christmas morning we had almost finished unwrapping our presents
and i unwrapped this. I tossed it to the side, its just a boring old board game.
It was not!
Since christmas day we have played it loads. and its different every time. This well invented board game can be played by 1-4 players. You start in the corner of the board (everyone has a different corner) then when its your turn you add a piece of your colour onto the board but it has to be on a diagonal to the first piece. You carry on doing this until you can't put any of your pieces down then, at the end you count how many squares you have left (each piece is made up of squares you count these squares) . None of your pieces are the same and the aim is to block people off and end up with the least amount of squares left.
This game is simple but effective and i would recommend this game to anyone. We played this game with a 7 year old, 15 year old, 40 year old and a 72 year old and all of us enjoyed the game thoroughly. in fact we enjoyed so much that we're purchasing about 6 more to give as presents to various people.

This is an excellent game that all ages can play together. Simple rules for younger children to understand but adults can also enjoy the tactics of it at a higher level.

This is a simple, addictive game suitable for all the family. So easy to pick up, and you improve the more you play it - and you will! Colourful, beautifully made pieces played on a durable board make it a real pleasure to play. Treat yourself this Christmas - you won't regret it. Suitable for children about 8 upwards. Can be played by 2 - 4 players.

Bought this for my 5 year old daughter after she requested it. She loves it and challenges any visitors to our house. Uncomplicated and fun, I would recommend ths to anyone, not just 8 and up. Just keep it away from babies as there are some very small pieces.
